What each requirement really means.
| Requirement | What we need | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Employment | Salaried with a private company, MNC, PSU or government body. Salary credited to a bank account. | A regular salary shows you can manage fixed monthly EMIs. |
| Age | 21 to 58 years when you apply. | Your loan should be fully repaid comfortably before retirement. |
| Monthly income | Net take-home of ₹25,000 or more. | Higher income usually means a higher loan limit. |
| Credit score | 700 or above preferred. We check it for free with your consent. | Your record of repaying loans and cards on time. |
| Existing EMIs | All EMIs together, including this loan, within a healthy share of your pay. | Keeps your budget comfortable after the new EMI. |
| KYC | Valid PAN and Aadhaar, with Aadhaar linked to your mobile. Indian resident. | Needed for identity checks, e-KYC and e-sign. |
Beyond the checklist: what shapes your offer.
Meeting the criteria makes you eligible. These factors decide how much you're offered and at what rate.
Credit score
The single biggest factor in your rate. 750+ typically unlocks the best pricing.
Income
Your take-home pay sets how large an EMI you can comfortably carry.
Existing EMIs
Current loans and card dues reduce how much room is left for a new EMI.
Employer & job stability
Time with your current employer and their profile both count.
Repayment history
A record of on-time payments matters more than the number of loans you've had.
Recent enquiries
Many loan applications in a short time can lower your score. Check offers before applying.
Small steps, better offers.
A stronger profile can mean a higher amount and a lower rate. Most of these take only a few months to show results.
- 1Pay every EMI and card bill on time. Even one missed payment can pull your score down.
- 2Keep card usage under 30% of your credit limit each month.
- 3Close or reduce small loans to free up room for a new EMI.
- 4Check your credit report and get any errors corrected with the bureau.
- 5Avoid applying with many lenders at once. Compare offers that use soft checks first.
- 6Choose a longer tenure or smaller amount if your EMIs are already high.
Here's what you can do.
Self-employed
We currently lend to salaried individuals. Loans for self-employed professionals are coming soon. Call us to be notified first.
Score below 700
You may still qualify for a smaller amount. Follow the tips above for 3–6 months, then check again.
High existing EMIs
A debt consolidation loan could combine them into one, often lower, EMI.
Eligibility questions.
Does checking eligibility affect my CIBIL score?
No. The checks on this page need no personal details. When you check your offer, we use a soft enquiry; a formal credit check happens only if you proceed.
I'm new to credit and have no CIBIL score. Can I apply?
You can apply. Without a credit history we rely more on your income and employer, so the amount offered may be smaller to start with.
Can I add a co-applicant to get a higher amount?
Not at the moment. Skyrise personal loans are assessed on the individual applicant's profile.
Why was I offered less than I asked for?
Usually because your existing EMIs and income leave room for a smaller new EMI. Choosing a longer tenure, or closing a small loan first, can increase the amount.
If I'm rejected, how soon can I reapply?
We suggest waiting a few months and working on the reasons first, such as improving your score or reducing EMIs. Repeated applications in a short time can lower your score.
